Dana Jacobs, The Woman Behind the Madness

My journey of creating Jacob’s Ladder ELC began when I was a young mother struggling to find the perfect caregiver for my kiddos, Jacob and Josh. Day and night I would have such internal conflict with myself worrying about the care my precious boys were receiving. They were happy, but I did not want a single fleeting thought of their safety or well being while I was working. This is how Jacob’s Ladder came to be. I wanted to create an environment for children that would leave parents confident and worry free about the care being provided for their child. After an amazing 30 years in my profession my goal remains the same, to provide the best care a child and a parent could ask for.

I could not have done this without the love and support of my husband, James. The expansion of Jacob’s Ladder ELC would not be possible without his hard work!

“I have two children who attend Jacob’s Ladder. My son, Miles, is 9 years old and my daughter, Sadie, is 17 months old. My son has been with Jacob’s Ladder since the beginning and now attends the after school class. My daughter has been there since she was 8 weeks old. Jacob’s Ladder is family. The owner, Dana Jacobs, sets the bar for childcare. Jacob’s Ladder has the best staff, impeccable cleanliness, and up to date education based practices. The facility has top notch security measures including cameras in every room. They are superior in every area, but what truly puts them on top is the quality of care. It doesn’t feel like a “day care”. Everyday my children are there, it feels like they’re with family. I’ve never once worried about their safety while they were at Jacob’s Ladder or if they would be mistreated. I know they are safe and loved there, and when life gets hectic they have my back. Communication is never a problem whether it’s at the front door, a phone call, or the very helpful app that allows messaging with the teacher. Dana often reminds me “it takes a village” and I’m so happy Jacob’s Ladder is part of my village.”
